The music comes from Cape Verdean, European and Brazilian artists who live on the island or visit for the festival, to perform. There are many styles of music performed like classic Cape Verdean (morna, coladeira and funann), rock, hip hop, samba and many many more. The food is varied but with lots of fresh fish and seafood being eaten, due to the closeness of the sea to the festival. A Cape Verde speciality is also made which is Cachupa.
